Lariat Westerns (LW)

 Lariat Westerns.

Western books and paperbacks were still very popular around the mid 1950's! kids and adults both loved the tales of the wild west and John Spencer & Co were right there in the mix along with a whole host of paperback UK companies and provided top notch cowboy stories! with eye catching artwork!

The LW series ran from No. 1 (May 1954) right through to No. 77 (July 1971) But sadly! as we stepped into the mid 60's the wild western books popularity waned only 5 or 6 editions were produced each year (for example 1965 saw only 6 LW editions published and only 5 in 1966)  

Anyway! here are the editions I own and will be adding more as time allows!

The BW series ran from No. 1 (Nov 1953) right through to No. 60 (May 1967) But sadly! when into the mid 60's the wild western books popularity waned only 3 or 4 editions were produced each year (for example 1965 saw only one BW published and only 4 in 1966)
